This series is geared toward nonprofit professionals who often sacrifice the well-being of their finances for the good of their organizations. NPV alongside M&T Bank want to help you get smarter about how you save and spend your money so you have the financial freedom to live your life how you want to. This series is for all ages and stages of life. Whether you just graduated college or are approaching retirement each session will provide you relevant and actionable knowledge that can be applied to any financial situation.


This is a free program for nonprofit professionals. This series is meant to be taken as a whole. Only sign up if you intend to attend all four sessions.

Sessions:

  1. Money Management (January 28, 2020): In this workshop, participants will learn strategies to build a simple budget and pay off debt.
  2. Taxes (February 25, 2020): In this workshop, Participants will learn how to read/understand their tax returns, meaning of the different sections, the importance of accuracy in reporting and various tax credits available to individuals.
  3. Borrowing (March 24, 2020): In this workshop, participants will learn the importance of borrowing, when to borrow, what a credit score is, its importance, and how to read a credit report.
  4. Earnings/ Investing (April 28, 2020): In this workshop, participants will begin to prepare for retirement readiness by creating a savings plan and learning about investment vehicles that may allow them to grow their wealth.
