The Maryland Nonprofits Legislative Preview is your opportunity to learn what other nonprofits will be working on, how the legislature will function, and how you can be an effective advocate in the coming year – plus, you’ll have a chance to connect with advocates with similar priorities to yours. The 2021 legislative session in Maryland will address major issues affecting nonprofits and the people and communities we serve, including efforts to correct social inequities and systemic racism, funding of education, the impact of COVID-19 and the recession on Maryland’s economy and government services, federal relief, protection of health and the environment, and more.

During this virtual convening, you will hear from public officials and leading nonprofits advocates and be able to join breakout room discussions on a range of issues. Two optional afternoon sessions will provide you with detailed advice on organizing, planning, and implementing strategies to bring about change in policies and programs.
