Faculty: Sharon Anderson, Principal, Anderson & Associates
Course Objective: Learn how best to advocate for your organization through both strong messaging and by cultivating strong community and governmental networks.
Nonprofit organizations must inform and energize a variety of audiences about the importance of their work. This is essential to getting your unique message heard. Advocacy is a key component of an organization’s messaging and is a critical role for nonprofit boards and staffs.
Center for Nonprofit Advancement’s session will address developing community and government allies by effectively and confidently telling your story. The interactive components of the session will include small group work sessions, journaling, and outlining plans for an advocacy day.
The take-aways will include key components for a strong, succinct narrative about your purpose and a draft advocacy action plan to share with your organization.
