Faculty: Alexandra Suchman, Brighter Strategies

Whether managing a single project or a team of many people, successful management requires being able to shift between team- or task-specific details and a broader organizational perspective. In other words, you have to be able to see both the forest AND the trees at the same time.

Center for Nonprofit Montgomery’s course will help managers from all experience levels (from aspiring to seasoned) and backgrounds better understand their role within the context of the broader organization, and learn how to break through internal silos and inter-departmental conflicts.

Learning Objectives:

Through fun, interactive exercises and group discussions, participants will learn:
• How systems thinking makes you a more effective leader, not just for your team but within your whole organization.
• Ways to identify and anticipate workflow problems and find the best solutions.
• Strategies for implementing organizational change in a way that maximizes success and minimizes disruption.
