Davis Construction

Since its founding in 1915, Davis Construction grew from a small family business to a nationally ranked construction leader. What has remained consistent throughout more than a century of operating is that Davis “doesn’t just build building—it builds partnerships”.

From its University Partnership program, to the annual donation of thousands of in-kind construction and professional service hours, to truckloads of construction materials, Davis is a paragon of corporate social responsibility. Through its workforce and community development outreach it offers mentoring, education, scholarships, and employment opportunities to many small and minority businesses.

Its support of the nonprofit sector is equally commendable. Aside from donating construction projects, Davis works hard to find the right people for the right nonprofit boards, ensuring its employees creativity and expertise contribute to the capacity of the nonprofit sector. In addition to financial and material donations, Davis donated over two thousand hours each year to its nonprofit partners.

It is not only Nonprofit Village that recognizes Davis’s excellence; the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington; Jubilee Support Alliance; The ALS Association – DC/MD/VA Chapter; and the Washington Business Journal have all given Davis community-focused awards. This serves to demonstrate further how deep Davis’ commitment to community service runs.
